We are structuring our tuber sale a little differently this year! We plan to have two main sales. The first sale will be Saturday, February 28th at 8:45am PST for newsletter subscribers (you will receive a password the day before our sale to enter the shop early). At 9am it will be open to the public. Our second tuber sale will be our Grade 2 tuber sale. Grade 2 tubers are the types that I plant in my field— perfectly fine but may be oddly shaped, smaller than usual (at least as big as a AA battery though), or otherwise deemed “less valuable.” Our Grade 2 tuber sale will be will be March 28th at 8:45am PST. It will include any of our Grade 1 tubers that are still left in stock, as well as our Grade 2 tubers. All tubers in this second sale will be 50% off. So if you are a discount shopper and do not mind less than perfect tubers, this sale is for you!

We are a small farm growing 500–600 dahlia plants across approximately 170 varieties with two young boys in tow. While a handful of varieties are grown in larger quantities, many varieties in our field are just 1–5 plants, so availability can be quite limited. We hope you enjoy exploring our ever-growing collection of beauties and are excited to share that we will be growing even more dahlias this coming year to help meet the demand better next year!

We grow using organic, regenerative practices and use very few organic sprays. We focus on releasing beneficial insects, interplanting with other crops, and using organza bags on blooms to minimize pest pressure in the field. During both bloom and tuber harvest, snips are sanitized in a 50% bleach solution, and we follow a very strict “when in doubt, throw it out” policy when it comes to disease or virus concerns. While we cannot guarantee plant health, we’re happy to report that we had no cases of gall in our field last season and only a minimal number of plants removed due to suspected virus. We are state inspected and passed our inspection this season with no concerns.

Shipping

Shipping will begin in late March for zones warm enough to receive tubers and will continue through April as weather allows. Orders ship USPS Priority, leaving our farm Monday–Wednesday to minimize time in transit.

Shipping is a flat fee of $15 regardless of your order size.

If you place multiple orders and would like them combined into one shipment, please use the code FREESHIP on additional orders. (If this code is used on your first order, your order will be held until the shipping fee is paid.)

Email newsletter subscribers enjoy 10% off their order (code sent via email prior to the sale).

While supplies last:

• Orders under $50 will receive a free packet of seeds collected from our farm

• Orders over $50 will receive a free tuber (either a labeled variety or a mystery tuber)

Policies

We guarantee every tuber is firm and has at least one eye. We guarantee each variety is correctly labeled. Upon arrival, inspect your tubers and store in a frost free environment until it is safe for you to plant your tubers outside.
