I don’t grow many single tulips, but salmon impressions is one that I think is a must grow. These massive blooms start out blush with a hint of green and color up in the vase to a soft salmon pink.
And a huge bonus is that the stem length is insane! I oftentimes get 24” stems if I pull the bulb at harvest. I find that I can perennialize this variety and get two seasons out of them if I leave some foliage to die back. By year 3, production drops pretty significantly so I harvest them with the bulb year two so that I can replace them.
